A blog created by students participating in the National Poetry Writing Month challenge. NaPoWriMo is a month-long dare to yourself, demanding that you write a poem every day from April 1st to April 30th. You can be inspired by anything, and the poem can be as long or short as you wish. None of what you publish is expected to be in final draft form.

There’s no pressure to perform at your best—the point is to grow, think, and discover.
At the end of the month you will have a collection of poems…maybe ten, maybe twenty, maybe thirty. I came away with twenty-seven last year. Though some are not much to talk about, a few are the best work I have ever written.

Numerous prompt websites are there to help (more info in the prompts section), and the world around us is overflowing with both beauty and sadness. What’s not to write about?
Good luck everyone, and I hope you enjoy!
